Add the power of RAID and USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C to your compatible Windows or Mac system with the Mercury Elite Pro Quad 4-Bay USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C RAID Enclosure from OWC / Other World Computing. Also compatible with Thunderbolt 3 and driven via included SoftRAID XT software, this enclosure has been built with four SATA III drive bays that can each house a single 3.5″ or 2.5″ drive using included drive brackets. Available RAID modes include RAID 0, 1 0+1, 4, and 5, each of which offers performance, data redundancy, or a combination of both. For those who do not require a RAID, JBOD is also supported, which allows the four drives to be used independently.

This volume will be recognized on systems running OS X 10.6 and later, as well as Windows 7 and later. Connectivity to your host system is achieved using an integrated 10 Gb/s USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C port, and both USB Type-C to Type-C and USB Type-C to Type-A cables are included to help ensure compatibility with modern and legacy systems. To help ensure a smooth operating environment, the array is built using heat-dissipating aluminum, uses a cooling fan, and its included 100-240 VAC power supply runs at 50/60 Hz to help ensure worldwide compatibility. Also included is a power cable and two front panel keys.

he Mercury Elite Pro Quad’s USB Type-C interface delivers 10 Gb/s USB 3.1 Gen 2 bandwidth and works with most USB Type-C or Thunderbolt 3 Mac or Windows system. Simply connect the Mercury Elite Pro Quad via the included USB Type-C cable to experience next-level performance. If your computer doesn’t feature USB Type-C connectivity, the included USB Type-C to USB Type-A cable brings backward compatibility for machines with legacy USB ports.

The Mercury Elite Pro Quad’s four universal drive bays are compatible with 3.5″ and 2.5″ SATA III 6 Gb/s, SATA II 3 Gb/s, and SATA I 1.5 Gb/s hard drives.
